I am so excited about this engagement session on so many levels.  I got to play with a lot of unique lighting, tilt-shift, and it was my first engagement session in the rain (not planned...but really fun).  J.B. and Kelly were just great sports considering the rain and they trusted me to take some great photographs when things might have not seemed like it was possible :).  They are both very creative people and we had some great conversations while walking around the fair that made for a not just a great day at work, but a great day with great people.

Enjoy the photographs ::

I just got back from the Texas State Fair for an engagement shoot and I am super excited.  On the surface there were obstacles like an overcast day, lots of people, and lots of rain, but we threw caution to the wind and used what we had to make some awesome pictures.  Here is just one picture from the shoot.  More to come.

Sarah and Michael had their wedding at Beaver Creek Resort in Vail Colorado last month.  I flew up to Denver and took a short commute to Vail via the Colorado Mountain Express.  The scenery was amazing and got only better once I was in Vail.

Sarah is a photographer here in the Dallas area as well and she gave me the opportunity to document the entire wedding experience from Engagement to the Day-After Session.  The location was gorgeous, but what really made the wedding great were the people.  Sarah and Michael invited their closest family and friends to this exceptional event in their lives and as an outsider; I could see the heart and the love behind everything.

Carson and Sarah have a very special relationship and it was so fun to do their engagement session.  Carson is hilarious and would make a lot of little funny statement along the way that kept me cracking up the whole time.  We did some pretty fun stuff to try and bring their personalities out of the pictures and Carson likes to jump.  Let me say that again...Carson likes to jump.

Amanda and Garrett drove up from the Houston area for their engagement session in downtown McKinney, Texas.  It was a hot day, but it was a great photo shoot.  I was able to find so many cool and unique pieces of light to play with for some dramatic photos.

I asked Amanda how she met Garrett and she said that they met in college and of all of Garrett friends he was the tallest.  He also had a "Jesus" beard that she liked.  :)

We had a great time and I couldn't ask for better clients.  They were up for just about anything and gave me their trust the entire time.  Here are some of my favorites from the day.
